During regularly scheduled visits, your midwife will conduct physical assessment to keep track of your blood pressure, fetal growth, fetal heartbeat, and fetal position. We offer and recommend blood and urine tests, as well as ultrasound assessments at different stages of your pregnancy or when indicated.

On average, appointments last 30 to 45 minutes. Your family members and/or the people who make up your support system, as defined by you, are encouraged and welcome to attend appointments as often as you like.

Prenatal appointments take place in the clinic once a month for the first 28 weeks of pregnancy, every two weeks until the 36th week, and then once a week until the baby is born. If you are planning a home birth, your midwife will see you at your home during the 36-week period and become familiar with your home setting.
